Mosquitos, Carbon Dioxide

I just went outside to ambush another yellowjacket nest and remembered something that I read on the plane to Atlanta earlier this month…

Only female mosquitos bite, the sting and itch is from a chemical in their saliva. Female mosquitos generally lay 300 eggs at a time, they can live for up to 3 years and usually don’t leave their “home”, which is approximately 1 square mile.

Mosquitos are attracted to moist carbon dioxide (human breath)… so keep your damn mouth shut!
